Tips for getting your site approved
Here are some tips for getting your site approved into our directory. We receive a lot of submissions and some sites are easier to approve then others. If you make our job of reviewing your site easy you will have a great chance of getting approved.
When you submit your site here is what happens.
We receive an email letting us know you submitted your site. From that email we can quickly view the details of your site and can then visit your site to check that our requirements are met. Yes, we check every site manually.
Here is what we look for:
We look to make sure your site fits into the category you submitted to. If it does great, your one step closer to getting approved. If it doesn't then you will try and move it or possibly reject it. We then check to make sure your site doesn't contain anything questionable and that it has good content. Our goal is to build a usefull directory of quality sites (that's why we have these rules :). View a list of content or subject matter we don't accept.
We look at your description and make sure it's accurate. The better you accurately describe your site the more likely you will be approved. Feel free to be as descriptive as you like. 2 or 3 words won't cut it. Write out a few sentences if possible.
Example site description: Brave New Media is a top web directory of categorized websites which you can submit your sites to. Offers featured listings, free listings and a searchable database.
On review we look to see where you placed our link if you are submitting a site for free. Placing our link on your homepage is a surefire way to get approved. We also accept any other page on your site as long as it's visible to your site visitors. Don't place our link on a hidden page no one can find.
Email address. Use a real email address you check regularly so we can get in touch with you.
The best way to get approved is to be honest and precise in your listing and you are more then likely to get approved.
